Howwww has another year of shooting Annapolis Weddings come and gone?!
I can’t believe we’ve been at this career for over a decade now!
I literally have grown and birthed four daughters while shooting weddings all over the DMV and Pennsylvania area. Not to mention the time I got to go to New Jersey, South Carolina, Virginia, and Jamaica as well!
I am so grateful couples are still trusting us to document the important moments of their wedding day and create some beautiful imagery in the process.
We shot a few weddings in Frederick in 2023 as well. We had many of our weddings in the springtime which actually worked with our schedule of having a summer baby last year!
For the first time since I can remember we didn’t have any October weddings.
I spent most of October shooting engagement and family sessions for new and previous clients.
One of the trends we saw last year was blurry/movement images. We tried to add in a few of those here and there to our wedding galleries. We wanted to make sure we still stuck true to our clean, bright, timeless, style, but it was fun to stretch ourselves creatively and try out a new trend! Some of those images ended up being my favorite of the year.
I think my favorite end of the night images from last year was when one of our couples fed each other pizza. We have slowly seen sparklers images die out, but there are so many other cute ideas you can do at the end of the night. Bubbles, glow sticks, champagne, pizza, ice cream, are some of our favorites!
I would have to say that daddy/daughter dances still make me emotional, especially now that we have four daughters ourselves. It is my favorite moments on a wedding day.. seeing a dad proudly give away his daughter to the love of her life.
